I officially started my training today. I went to the bike trail off of Old Cheney close to our house. Rachel had sent me a great link to a track & field website where you can create your own route & map distances on a mapquest program - then switch to a satellite mode & find identifying houses, buildings, trees, etc. so you know when the 1/2 mile marker is or the 1 mile, etc. So I walked 1/2 mile & turned around & walked back. It seemed like a pretty long ways. I came home & iced my knees & took 3 ibroprofen. I obviously have a long ways to go with this project. I'm not going to tell anyone about this until I see if this marathon is even a possibility. I'd still just be out $50 & a good pair of shoes.
