I did my 3 mile Sunday morning walk/run & it actually felt good. I did it in 45 min (15 min/mile) so I was pleased with that. And ya gotta love Lincoln! - along the trail today someone had put a little table beside the trail with a sign that said "free" on the side & on the table were home grown cucumbers & tomatoes and a plastic bag taped to the table with more plastic bags to put the veggies in! I was impressed.
Just to prove there really IS a 91 year old man named Clarence who ran in the 5k race last night...check out this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j9chBdOEFI It must have been filmed last year...because he is 91 yrs old now! He's awesome!
Also I forgot to mention yesterday as I started my walk/run out in Elkhorn, I heard a voice behind me and looked back and there was one guy running and singing as loud as he could...not just humming! I visited with him a bit... he was doing 28 miles that day...and must have been in his 40's or so. As he took off ahead of me he was belting out "Amazing Grace"! It was quite entertaining.

Clarence was so awesome!!
ReplyDeleteAlso that runner who was singing was really cool! I passed by him an had conversations with him on my half-century! He was really nice and happy to be out running. I like people who enjoy doing stuff like that rather than being so intense into their activity that they ignore the outside world! Cyclists are worse offenders of this sin. One of these days when smiling at them doesn't work I might stick my tongue out at them to see if i can get a reaction! :-)
Hahaha! That would be awesome!
