Went for an early morning walk/run today & did it in 78 minutes (15.6 min/mile)...then I got ready and went to work. I forgot to mention on Saturday during the 5k race - I think I mentioned that a lot of people standing around the race area were cheering people on & they were all nice with the usual "way to go" "you can do it", etc. But one woman clearly stood out. As I approached her she looked at me and said "You're looking strong! You look like a woman on a mission!" I thought, "Boy, you've got that right!"
Oh, and I saw the official results of the 5k...so here it is: I came in overall 238 out of 242. In the female overall I came in 142 out of 145. In my age group category I came in 6th !! - yay!! ....ok...that is 6th out of 6 ! But here's the best part...I was the oldest female in the race! There was one other my age, but since my birthday is less than a month away, I'm going to say the odds are that I am the oldest!! ...and...I'm on a mission!!

Woo hoo!! see you didn't just beat Clarence...you beat out 3 other people too!!
ReplyDeleteI know I beat one other (you can see her on my heels at the finish line) but the other 2 I think were the ones pushing a stroller... and I think somewhere along the way they gave up!
